Hunting Out The Holes.

Hunting out the holes and dips in the river bed can be essential to a day’s fishing.

Today I fished the river rhymney and specifically targeted the holes that fish feed from on the bottom. The weather was not the best due to the strong down stream wind but the fish feed on regardless to the difficult casting conditions.

Here are some of the fish that I landed on todays outing.

There was a small hatch of olives coming off at midday that lifted the fish off the bottom slightly and the very occasional fish started to move on the surface.

  3. Nice to see you on the weekend dude! DIdn’t go down to the bottom pool after, fished the deep wall pool and took around 15 out of there! Few on dries too, load of olives started to appear and brought em up
